Fisher & Paykel Appliances designs, manufactures and markets a range of innovative household appliances developed with a commitment to technology, design, user friendliness and environmental awareness. Having learned about electronic drive systems through our flexible manufacturing equipment, we applied the knowledge to driving appliances. The world’s first appliance using Brushless Direct Current Motors was introduced in the 1980s. This design later gave way to the development of the Smart Drive? clothes washer. Active Smart? refrigerators, Aerotech? wallovens and clothes dryers have all evolved to include electronic control systems and features that deliver performance benefits to our customers. The Fisher & Paykel Healthcare division also offers a broad range of products and systems for use in respiratory care, the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea, neonatal care and operating rooms.

IHCD’s universally designed kitchen features a Fisher & Paykel refrigerator, dishwasher, and cooktop, with Active Smart technology. The EZKleen stainless steel fridge, with nearly 18 cubic feet of space, has an internal water and ice dispensing system with no impact on storage space. The bottom-mounted freezer, with clean bins and a roll out tray, make it easier to find and store food. All Active Smart features are accessible through an external electronic interface, including rapid freezing and measured fill dispensing, as well as a timed chilling function for cooling bottles. The Fisher & Paykel dishwasher is actually a DishDrawer, installed underneath the countertop for greater accessibility. The DishDrawer can be programmed for its contents, so dishes are better cared for. With multiple DishDrawers, each is independently operated, allowing you wash economically whether you have large or small loads. The brushed stainless steel cooktop has intuitively designed safety elements, like a unique recessed surface, which can contain spills of up to 2 liters. The fast-heating speed ribbon gives precise and even temperature control. The Fisher & Paykel cooktop also includes inline controls to warn the user of hot surfaces even after the power is off, until touch-safe temperatures are reached.
