Emmanuel Andrade was born and raised in the south of Brazil, near the border of Argentina and Paraguay. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and the Brazilian architecture license before moving to Boston in 2003. He joined IHCD the following year and works in a variety of projects.
Recent projects include: Coordinator for the accessibility checklist for the University Disability Coordinator at Harvard University, Design Coordinator for renovating the historic 951 Boylston Street building to become the new studio building for the Boston Architectural College, and Co-Director of the Title II Accessibility Audit for Bunker Hill Community College (Boston), and Consultant for the Edgewood Retirement Community (North Andover, MA).
Other tasks also include translations for the Designing for the 21st Century III Conference as he is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, and English. Emmanuel is an AIA Associate and a LEED Accredited Professional. He is preparing for the MA architecture license exams this summer.
