Larry Goldberg is the director of WGBH's Media Access Group and its NCAM R&D division. He leads the group's research, development and dissemination of access solutions and standards through policy guidance and presentations to legislators, regulators, technology researchers, educators, industry and consumer organizations.

Mr. Goldberg designed the Rear Window System for displaying hidden captions for deaf and hard-of-hearing people in movie theaters, amusement parks and other public attractions and holds WGBH's first patent for the invention.

He founded NCAM in 1993 and has been deeply involved in the international effort to assure that the policies, design and implementation of new digital media technologies include the goal of including people with disabilities. Mr. Goldberg's undergraduate work focused on Cinema Studies and Broadcast Journalism (BA, University of Southern California cum laude, 1976).
