Outreach Training Specialist |
Carole Rossick is the hard of hearing Outreach Training Specialist within the Department of Communication Access, Training & Technology Services for the Massachusetts Commission for the Deaf & Hard of Hearing (MCDHH). She develops outreach strategies, materials and seminars for service providers and people who are coping with hearing loss; promotes public awareness of MCDHH services; provides in-service trainings, exhibits, technical assistance, information and referrals related to communication access. Carole is a former member of the advisory committee for the Massachusetts Relay Service and telephone Equipment Distribution Program. She serves on the board of directors of the Institute for Human Centered Design, formerly known as Adaptive Environments.
In 1998, Carole established her business in East Haven as an Independent Distributor with Market America, the product brokerage and Internet marketing company. Carole is an active member and former national staff member of Hearing Loss Association of America, formerly known as Self Help for Hard of Hearing People, Inc. (SHHH). In 1984 she co-founded the Connecticut Connect-SHHH-ion, the first SHHH support group affiliate in the state of Connecticut.
