The Universal Design Handbook (2nd Ed.)
The Universal Design Handbook is a unique compilation that brings together the rich international experience of what we call universal design. Universal Design is not a trend but an enduring design approach that assumes that the range of human ability is ordinary, not special. This book describes and illustrates the extraordinary growth in the international movement to create environments and products for all people. A fully updated, one-stop reference to designing products and facilities for the elderly, disabled, and children.

Global Age-Friendly Design Awards
Global Age-Friendly Design Awards 2010 (GADA 2010) invites students, design professionals, design firms and the general public to submit their ideas on products that can change and enhance the lifestyles of the elderly. Previously known as International Design Awards in 2008, the competition drew interest from more than 200 participants from Australia, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore. This year it hopes to increase the number of entries from local and international design communities and agencies.
